Dry Shampoos I Keep!
Can we talk about how fast hair gets greasy sometimes? There are days when my hair looks freshly washed in the morning and somehow starts looking questionable by the evening.
Because of that, I've tested more dry shampoos than I'd like to admit, and most of them end up disappointing me. Some leave a white cast, some make my hair feel sticky, and others stop working after an hour.
After lots of trial and error, these are the two that have earned a permanent spot in my haircare routine.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day (PHD) Dry Shampoo

If I could only keep one dry shampoo, it would be this one. This is the product I reach for when my hair is looking noticeably oily and I need it to look freshly washed again. A few sprays instantly make my roots look cleaner, and somehow it adds volume at the same time. What really sold me is that it doesn't leave behind that powdery white residue that so many dry shampoos do. My hair feels refreshed instead of coated in product.
The scent is also clean and fresh without being overwhelming, and I swear this is the only dry shampoo that can genuinely help me stretch wash day by a couple of extra days. Yes, it's a splurge—but it's one of those products I never regret repurchasing.

EVA NYC Freshen Up Invisible Dry Shampoo

This is the one I keep nearby for quick touch-ups. The first thing you'll notice is the scent. It smells amazing and leaves my hair smelling freshly washed even when it's definitely not. I usually grab this when I need a quick refresh before heading out or when my roots are just starting to get oily. It absorbs excess oil well and gives my hair a cleaner appearance without feeling heavy.
For maximum oil control and extending wash days, Living Proof wins every time. For everyday touch-ups, great scent, and affordability, EVA NYC is hard to beat. Honestly, I don't think of them as competitors anymore. Living Proof is my "hair emergency" product, while EVA NYC is my "I need a quick refresh before leaving the house" product. And if you also struggle with oily roots like I do, having both isn't the worst idea.
