Purple Serum Secret!
There was a time when I didn’t really pay attention to serums. They all sounded the same—promises in pretty bottles. But after trying a few, especially ones in the “purple serum” category, I started noticing how different each formula actually feels on the skin.
Two that stood out to me are Phyto Paris Ultra Serum and Dermalogica Phyto Nature Firming Serum. They might sound similar at first glance, but once you spend time with them, the differences become quite clear.

1. Phyto Paris Ultra Serum

This one feels like a quiet kind of luxury. The texture is light, almost watery, and it disappears into the skin quickly without leaving any sticky layer behind. What I personally like is how it gives that fresh, just-rested look, even on days when I didn’t sleep well. It leans more toward hydration and softness rather than dramatic lifting. Over time, my skin felt calmer and more balanced, like it wasn’t constantly fighting dryness anymore. It’s the kind of serum I reach for when I want something simple but still effective.

2. Dermalogica Phyto Nature Firming Serum

This one has a different personality altogether. From the first use, it feels more active, almost like it’s doing something instantly. The texture is slightly richer, but still comfortable to wear daily. What stood out to me is how it gives a subtle tightened feeling, especially around areas that tend to look tired. It doesn’t feel heavy, but there’s definitely a sense of structure after applying it. I found myself using this more when I wanted my skin to look a bit more “put together,” especially before going out.
It really depends on what your skin is asking for. Some days, you just want comfort and hydration. Other days, you want something that gives a bit more structure and lift. Having tried both, I don’t think it’s about choosing which is better—it’s more about which one fits your mood, your routine, and your skin at that moment.
