Top Body SPF Picks!
Hey everyone! Sunscreen is a non-negotiable part of any skincare routine, but finding the right one can be surprisingly tricky.
Some formulas feel too heavy, others sting, and a few just don't sit well on certain skin types.
Still, there are those sunscreens that—even with their flaws—end up staying in rotation because they work great for specific uses, especially for the body. Here are the body sunscreens I've been using regularly, even though they didn't completely make the cut for my face routine!
1. Serious Shade
This sunscreen has an amazing lightweight formula that feels just like some of the best Asian sunscreens. It blends seamlessly into the skin with absolutely no white cast, which is a huge plus. It's also super affordable, making it a great choice for daily use. Unfortunately, it tends to sting my eyes, so I avoid using it on my face. However, it's still one of my go-to products for body application because of how smooth and easy it feels on the skin.
2. Josie Maran
The texture of this sunscreen is thicker compared to Serious Shade. While it gives a beautiful finish on the body—especially under sunlight, it didn't work well on my oily skin. It made my face look quite greasy after a short time. That said, it's an excellent option for people with dry or combination skin, as it adds a nice glow without leaving a heavy residue. For me, this one stays in my body care lineup but not in my face skincare routine.
3. Sand & Sky
This formula is truly stunning—lightweight, smooth, and completely free of white cast. It melts into the skin beautifully and even seemed to help calm some redness. Sadly, it shares the same issue as Serious Shade and tends to sting my eyes, which makes it a no-go for the face. Despite that, I still love using it on my arms and legs because of how effortlessly it blends and how soft it makes my skin feel.
Not every sunscreen has to be perfect to earn a spot in your routine. Even though these didn't work out for face use, they perform beautifully on the body—offering smooth textures, easy absorption, and reliable sun protection. The key is finding where each product fits best for your skin type and comfort level. Sunscreen is all about consistency, and these three still make it easy to stay protected every day.
